=>c) Now in MPEG Streamclip go to File Menu and choose "Convert to TS". It will give you a timecode error but allow it to fix.this will take a few minutes. =>b) While in MPEG Streamclip go to HDD movie directory and highlight ALL of those 1GB VOB movie files and open. Also, the audio is AC3 (5.1).ģ) Since HR20 only plays MPEG-2 container we'll need to consolidate and convert all the VOB files. The VOB files are 1GB chunks of the movie. You now have a movie HDD directory with Video_TS.IFO and. Just launch DVD Fab, choose Main Movie, let it do it's thing. =>a) DVD Fab has a Forum for it's util that allows you to copy the DVD files to a HDD. In order to find out if your file is true MPEG2 and audio codec use GSpot to open and see.GSpot 2.70a Ģ) Now, for those of you who want to backup a owned DVD to your PC and share you'll need to do this. The below assumes you own your content !!!!ġ) First the HR20 only currently supports TRUE MPEG-2.not just a file that is. Questions on that subject should be directed to the CDFreaks Forum provided below. I will not discuss the details of ripping, etc.below gives a simple How-To. Well, as of 0x1EA we now have video on video still !!! Thanks DirecTV !!!įirst, a Disclaimer.Ripping DVDs you do not own is Illegal !!!!!! This information is for those (like me) who backup their purchased DVDs in order to play thru Home Theater electronics. Can someone tell me if they have experienced the AC3 working or is there something else I need to do to make it work? Is it Twonky and maybe Windows Media Player 11 would work? I am using TwonkyMedia with my HR20. I have used them on several DVD's and they play fine, yet I dont believe they are AC3 as I do not hear any surround sound on my system when watching them. The original version which I read a few days ago mentioned you could NOT use AC3, but then had a comment saying you now could and had these instructions. Below is part of a post talking about video sharing.
